Pat asked: From what I was reading it looked like you don’t even need to have a college degree to be certified as a personal trainer. Am i wasting my time in college right now when i can get certified now? Wouldn’t I just end out with pretty much the same job if i finished up college? I’ve also considered training people from my home gym instead of working at a gym. Opinions?

the_too_tough asked: My wife is a Personal Trainer she gets paid one rate for when she is training. She can get another rate if she is just working the floor or doing an orientation and she gets commission on her sales. Her Manage holds a MANDATORY weekly Hour + long meeting and refuses to pay the trainers for their time. Is that legal under the Fair Labor Act?

Serendipity asked: I pay $45 per half hour session once a week with my personal trainer. I think its too much. Even when we do weigh ins and measurements and it takes 15 minutes she trains me only for 15 minutes and shoves me out the door. All she does is put me on weights for a half hour and done. If you have experience with this your input is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
